ViveScript Solutions LLC ("we", "us", or "our") built BDT Currency Converter as a lightweight, privacy-focused financial utility application. This Privacy Policy informs users about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when using our Android application.

The core conversion and calculation features operate entirely on your device without collecting, transmitting, or storing any personal data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We believe in data minimization. BDT Currency Converter does not:

• Require user registration, accounts, or sign-in.
• Collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or contact list.
• Collect financial account details, bank credentials, credit card numbers, or transaction histories.
• Collect GPS location or precise geolocation data.
• Access your device camera, microphone, photos, media files, or external storage.
• Log, monitor, or transmit the currency amounts or calculation values you enter.

3. Information Collected & How It Is Used

3.1 Network Communication (Exchange Rates)

To provide accurate, up-to-date currency conversion rates, the application communicates securely via HTTPS with an open exchange rate service (open.er-api.com).

• What is transmitted: Standard HTTP request headers for fetching latest exchange rates relative to baseline currencies (e.g., USD, BDT).
• What is NOT transmitted: No personal identifiers, no search history, and no conversion values are included in API queries.

3.2 Local On-Device Storage

The application utilizes Android Jetpack DataStore Preferences locally on your device to store:

• Cached exchange rate tables and last update timestamps (for offline conversion).
• User interface preferences (e.g., chosen source/target currency, Bangla/English language choice, light/dark theme preference, and last entered amount).

Data Retention: This data is stored strictly on your local device hardware and is never synced to external cloud databases. You can clear this data at any time via Android System Settings > Apps > BDT Currency Converter > Clear Storage.

4. Third-Party Services & Dependencies

The application uses standard, trusted Android libraries:

• AndroidX & Jetpack Compose: Provided by Google for UI rendering and lifecycle management.
• Square Retrofit & OkHttp: For secure HTTPS exchange-rate fetching.
• Moshi: For parsing JSON exchange rate data locally.

No third-party behavioral tracking or invasive user analytics SDKs (such as Facebook Pixel, Adjust, AppsFlyer) are embedded in this application.

5. Advertising & Monetization

Advertising is currently disabled by default. If advertising is enabled in future releases:

• The app will use the official Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) following Google Play Families and user privacy policies.
• AdMob may process non-sensitive device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) for ad delivery and fraud prevention in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
• Any advertising updates will be transparently documented in this Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

BDT Currency Converter does not address anyone under the age of 13 for personal data collection. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take necessary actions.

7. Security

We value your trust. The application utilizes industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) for all network communication and strictly avoids storing sensitive financial credentials.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. You are advised to review this page occasionally for any changes. Any updates will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date.
