1. Overview and Core Commitment

CIRK is an offline-first, decentralized peer-to-peer mesh networking utility. It operates without internet connectivity, remote servers, cloud databases, user tracking, or online identity systems. We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal data to remote servers or third parties.

2. Information Handled by the Application

• Local profiles & identifiers: A random unique identifier is generated locally on your device, and you can choose any display alias. CIRK does not require your legal name, email address, phone number, physical address, or password. Profile data is stored exclusively in your device's local database.
• Public mesh messages: CIRK is a public community bulletin network. Announcements you post are transmitted across local radio links (Bluetooth Low Energy / Wi-Fi Direct) to other participating phones within range and relay chains. Because messages are public by design, never send private personal details, financial records, passwords, or confidential information through CIRK.
• Network membership & invitations: Network identifiers and role authorization tokens are exchanged over local peer-to-peer links and saved in your device's local database. Membership information is never uploaded to any cloud server or central directory.

3. Data Deletion & User Rights

You maintain full control over your data. You can instantly purge all stored announcements, network memberships, and local peer logs at any time via Settings → Clear Local Message History. Uninstalling CIRK immediately and irreversibly deletes all local application databases and configuration files.

4. Device Permissions & Hardware Usage

CIRK requests only permissions necessary for offline peer-to-peer communication:

• Bluetooth & Nearby Wi-Fi: Discover nearby CIRK nodes and transfer mesh packets via Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi Direct — configured with the neverForLocation flag, so scanning is never used to determine your physical location.
• Camera (optional): Used in-memory strictly to scan invitation QR codes. No photos or videos are captured, saved, or uploaded.
• Notifications, foreground service & wake lock: Alert you to incoming community broadcasts and keep the local mesh connection alive while your screen is off.

5. Children's Privacy

CIRK does not collect personal information from any user, including children under the age of 13.
